Privacy Policy
Effective date:
This Privacy Policy describes how eVideoInterview (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services at evideointerview.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers through our identity provider, Auth0.
- Video recordings. When you record an interview, we receive and store your video and audio.
- Resume text. If you upload a resume, we extract the text in order to generate tailored interview questions.
- Interview questions and responses. The questions you select or generate, and any metadata associated with your interviews.
- Usage data. Basic logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
- Generate AI-powered interview question suggestions tailored to your role and resume;
- Allow you to record, store, and share your interview videos via access codes;
- Communicate with you about your account and important Service updates;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms;
- Improve the Service and develop new features.
3. Third-party Processors
We rely on a small number of third-party processors to operate the Service. Each processor only receives the information necessary to perform its function:
- Auth0— authentication and account identity.
- Cloudflare R2— storage of video recordings.
- Neon— managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
- OpenAI— resume text parsing and analysis.
- Anthropic— AI question suggestions via Claude.
5. AI Processing
When you upload a resume, the extracted resume text is sent to OpenAI to generate tailored interview questions. When you request question suggestions, your prompt (such as the role and industry) is sent to Anthropic. Both providers are bound by enterprise terms stating that prompts and content submitted via their APIs are not used to train their models. Video recordings themselves are not sent to AI providers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and User Content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your User Content after a 30-day grace period, except where we are required to retain it longer to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups may be retained for a limited additional period.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise many of these rights directly from your account settings, or by contacting us at privacy@evideointerview.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. International Transfers
We process and store data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand and agree that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service before the changes take effect. The “Effective date” above indicates when this Policy was last revised.
